In general, roses are the flowers most purchased for the holiday, but for the not-so-serious couple, a bouquet of carnations, gerbera daisies or lilies may be the right choice. A single flower can also be a sweet touch, but Kasper said everyone likes something different.The Doods said functional items are popular for men, including a flask, lighter or watch engraved with a special message, fun phrase or their name. Bracelets in silver and copper are also popular.
